LIFE

By: E.C Ekwueme-Ubani.[1]

Born suckling and small,

Sucking and nothing more,

Soon, soon we think tall,

Creeping around and getting sore,

Soon, soon we think tall,

We hold on and fall,

Becoming stronger as the day go on,

Soon, soon we think tall,

Our feet firm to the soil,

 Bringing us more joy.

Then, we get to know, as we go,

The world is a woe!

Soon, soon we think tall,

We struggle for a living,

To give life a meaning,

We, no longer suckling and small,

Rather, working it all,

To give life a meaning,

And answers to all pending.

Soon, soon we think tall,

Shall we begin to fall??

Our dark hair, white as snow,

Our smooth surfaces as withered plants,

Soon, soon we think tall,

To answer a call,

To he who has brought us.
